Emirates is reconnecting the world, where it had suspended its flight operations due to global conflict. It has announced that over 77% of its connections are restored, and it will be operating to more than 135 destinations in 70+ countries. The airline shares the news on 4th May 2026, informing its customers that it has restored 96% of the flights affected during the period of disruption. Now, Emirates has resumed its services across the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East/GCC, the Far East, and Australasia. The airline carried around 4.7 million passengers between 1st March and 30th April, 2026, which was the peak time of disruption. This itself is a testament to the trust that passengers have in Emirates and the demand for travel.

Emirates is a Dubai-based airline that now plans to operate more than three-fourths of its previously planned routes. Upon comparing Emirates flight routes for February, March, and April, a few routes remain canceled, including flights to/from Baghdad (BGW), Basra (BSR), Tehran Imam Khomeini (IKA), and Male (MLE) to Colombo (CMB), though Colombo is a standalone destination where the airline serves three flight frequencies. Although these are the latest updates, the airline has also noted that, depending on circumstances, further changes may occur.

List of destinations where Emirates resumed its flights

Emirates has increased its flight frequency on global routes and also upgraded its aircraft during this interim to boost the passenger capacity and experience on long-haul routes. "Today, the airline operates to 137 destinations across 72 countries, with over 1,300 weekly frequencies, representing 76% of pre-disruption capacity. The airline is offering more flights, more seats and more options each day while reaffirming Dubai's position as a vital hub through which global travel moves," per their official post. The airlines have released their flight schedules for the period of 1st May to 15th May, 2026, where they will bring flights back to 16 destinations, which include:

Breakdown of Emirates global flight schedule

Emirates is showing notable growth across European and American routes, as these markets are always in high demand for an Emirates flight reservation, and daily and weekly flight frequencies have been increased. Here are the key schedule changes that are effective from this month:

European and Mediterranean Flights Expansion

  • In the United Kingdom, Emirates has increased daily flight services to and from London Heathrow (LHR) via the Airbus A380 fleet to six, up from five.
  • Flights to and from Manchester (MAN) increased from 17 to 21 weekly flights, using the same Airbus A380 fleet, with daily rotations expanding from one to twice daily.
  • Emirates flights to/from Newcastle (NCL) operate on the Airbus A350-900 and now operate daily.
  • Flights to/from Dublin (DUB) will now run 14 weekly, up from 11 weekly on the Boeing 777-300ER fleet.
  • Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) increases from 17 weekly to 21 weekly flight connections.
  • Flights to Madrid (MAD) have increased from 11 to 14 weekly with the A380.
  • Rome Fiumicino (FCO) increases from 10 to 14 weekly flights.

American Flights Expansion

  • Across the Americas, Emirates has increased service to New York City (JFK) from 10 to 14 weekly flights, operating Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
  • Washington Dulles (IAD) will now have daily service with the Boeing 777-300ER, up from three times a week.
  • Boston (BOS) is growing to four flights a week; previously, it was three times a week on the Airbus A350-900, but now Emirates will be using the 777-300ER.
  • Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) is replacing its 777-200LR fleet with the larger 777-300ER for its daily operations.
  • Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), and Orlando (MCO) will now have three flights per week, starting from 2nd May 2026.
  • Emirates Airlines flights from Miami (MIA) return with four weekly 777-300ER flights operating onward to Bogota (BOG).

Asia-Pacific, African, and Indian Subcontinent Flights Expansion

  • Melbourne (MEL) doubles its daily flight services.
  • Auckland (AKL) increases to four weekly flights.
  • Sydney (SYD) and Tokyo Haneda (HND) increase to daily flights.
  • Mumbai (BOM) resumes five weekly flights with a mixed fleet.
  • Delhi (DEL) has four daily flights, and Bangalore has three.
  • Dammam (DMM) and Mauritius (MRU) now have two flights daily.
  • Cape Town (CPT) operates 10 weekly flights with a 777-300ER fleet.

Apart from these flight schedule changes, Emirates has also changed its aircraft on some prominent routes without noticeably changing the weekly frequency, making it a great time for passenger to get the best international flight booking to their dream destination on Emirates. Seattle (SEA) replaces the 777-200LR with the 777-300ER on weekly flights, Glasgow (GLA) switches from the A350-900 to the 777-300ER, and on the Larnaca (LCA) to Malta (MLA) route, the new flights will be operated on A350-900 from 777-300ER.
